Webinar: The Legal Framework behind Digital Documents and Pleadings

I am extremely grateful to EBC Learning for providing me the opportunity to deliver a Webinar on Digital Documents and Pleadings, with a focus on the legal framework behind them in the Indian context. Over the course of this Webinar, I examine both the technical and legal aspects of digital documents, also known as "electronic records" under the Information Technology Act, 2000. The latter half of the Webinar deals with best practices for storing electronic records for trial in anticipation of a litigation, and also the manner in which they would be proved during the actual litigation.

RERA Overview Part 2

In the second part of the series, Yash Jariwala takes a look at the penalties prescribed under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, and the procedure to be adopted for the same. He also looks into the powers of the RERA to take a project away from the developer and to hand it to the association of allottees for completion.

More importantly we took a look at how the COVID-19 pandemic and the concepts of Force Majeure affect certain common types of commercial transactions such as Leases, Leave & License Agreements, Infrastructure Agreements, and Bank Guarantees.
